Social issues in healthcare are often overlooked and most clinics don’t benefit from a well-designed environment. Social responsibility in design emphasizes the needs and experiences people need day in and day out. Good design should be accessible or all and the positive aspects associated should be shared including mental and physical health, as well as social, economical, and environmental.

This project focused on a social issue of choice that exists within healthcare. The objective of this project was to address the issue of social responsibility in a small clinic setting.
Crystallized is about ones journey to personal health and wellness. The crystallization process can be slow at times but the outcome will always be precise and permanent. This process is much like taking your vitamins.

Main Level |Floor Plan + Reflected Ceiling Plan
The main level is characterized by gentle curves and vertical lines to help users feel supported and aid in wayfinding. The original architecture was maintained and infused within the design. The leading factor for the curves was initial architecture of the entry. By using the soft curves, it also helped push my concept of holistic/natural healing.
Lobby space within Holistic Energy. This area features views to the exterior as well as a retail experience for users.

The hierarchical light fixture above the floor graphic is the first impression clients have upon entry and provides them a feeling of involvement.

The second level was reserved for the professionals within Holistic Energy. The multi-purpose area was essential in giving this clinic the additional amenities they need to support natural healing. The curves were implemented within the elevations as they have arched doorways.
This is the multi-purpose room used for the additional amenities that Holistic Energy supports.

Flexibility was huge in this area. Seen in this perspective are users practicing yoga and meditation.
